Ven. Lobsang Kelsang (aka Ori Bader)
Ori Bader graduated from acting school in 1995 and worked as an actor mainly at the Israeli national theater, Habima, for nearly 20 years.
In 2002 he also started working at Cinephil, a films sales & co-productions company, working as a sales representative for international films (mainly documentaries).
During a period of 14 years at Cinephil, Ori became the company’s Sales & Acquisition Executive, handling international distribution for films, as well as taking part in film productions, the most prominent and known is “The Gatekeepers”, nominated for an Academy Award for Best Feature Documentary in 2013.
In 2015, Ori was ordained as a Buddhist monk in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and received the monastic name Lobsang Kelsang. He then moved to live in the monastery, at ‘Arava Spiritual Center’.
