Retreat Center

Ehvam will offer facilities for long and short-term retreats for deep contemplation, personal development and growth. In particular, we will be offering “The long retreat” – 3 years, 3 months and 3 days of silent, secluded retreat, a practice period, common in the Tibetan Buddhism tradition. By the end of 2022, over 120 of Lama Dvora’s students will have completed their 14-year program of advanced Buddhist studies. The Ehvam retreat center will offer the necessary facilities and logistic support for some 35 of those graduates, to conduct a year-long silent retreat. These retreatants are expected to spearhead the far-reaching activities of Ehvam, in the following years. After this unique cadre of student/practitioners finish their long retreat (around Jan. 2025), the comfortable, air conditioned, desert huts comprising the retreat center, will become available to other spiritual seekers interested in a suitable location for deep contemplation for short or long period – be it a weekend, a week, or several months.
